Filth flies are usually scavengers in nature and many are capable of transmitting diseases to man. Filth flies found in Thailand generally grouped according to their habits and appearance as: houseflies, flesh flies, blow flies and bottle flies, drain flies and vinegar (fruit) flies. 

Why we need fly control: The flies are highly mobile pest, able to fly from filth to food carrying with it a wide range of disease-causing organisms on its body. Houseflies may spread diseases such as conjunctivitis, poliomyelitis, typhoid fever, tuberculosis, anthrax, leprosy, cholera, diarrhoea and dysentery. Certain larvae of blowflies, bottle flies, flesh flies may feed on dead as well as living tissue of mammals, causing blood poisoning, contamination.

Innovative Pest Management uses integrated fly management approach to get ride of flies insects at customer premises which consist of improvement of customer sanitation practice, treatment of fly breeding places, adulticidal treatment and use of Insect Light traps to catch adult fly population.

Sanitation improvement: Sanitation is the best method of controlling filth flies in and around the home and on the other locations. Flies seek breeding places where garbage, animal droppings, or vegetation residues accumulate. Our experts conduct detailed inspection and give proper suggestions to reduce all possible fly breeding location.  

 

Treatment of breeding places: Our expert service technicians use proper insecticide to treat at all possible fly breeding places inside customer premises.

 

Adulticidal residual spay: Residual spray in form of ULV misting or surface spray at walls where the flies aggregate helps to reduce adult fly population outside the building.

 

Adulticidal baiting treatment: Use baits near dumpsters and the area around such trash containers, entry points like door, windows are best way to reduce adult fly population as these baits attract adult flies and flies die after consuming bait.  

 

Use of Fly Trap: For Indoors fly management we use specially design UVA based Insect Light Traps. One trap should be placed for every 10-15 meter interval at wall inside buildings, but not placed over or within 2-3 meter height of food preparation areas. Insect Light traps are designed to offer ongoing monitoring of flying insect populations, and also control inside fly population. Many types of insects can be attracted to light traps and our expert’s analysis and tell what is going at customer premises.
